Beyond the Epidermis: Ultimate Color Theory Guide
This is not your typical Color Theory Course. The term Color Theory doesn't even come close in describing what this course offers and teaches. This course dives deep into Skin, Pigment Science, Pigment Color & Selection, Modifiers, Depth, Saturation, Technique and Corrections...all of which directly affect your healed-in color results.
The information in this course is some of the most critical and important information a PMU artist must learn to have beautiful healed-in color results and to ensure your healed-in color results age with stability. Color Theory can be one of the hardest topics to learn and understand. This course will simplify the complicated and empower you with the pertinent knowledge and confidence to deliver predictable results for each client and skin type.

Needle & The Prick: Needle Theory
The ultimate needle course. To just simply pick up any needle at random and hope it will create the kind of work you are wanting is a big gamble…even if you are skilled in your procedures. Choosing and using the right needle for each procedure you are doing will allow you to work with ultimate efficiency, complete the procedure faster and achieve a more predictable healed result. When we work more efficiently and spend less time in the skin…less trauma is caused to the skin and our work heals better.
Cosmetic tattoo artists have the important task of selecting the appropriate needle diameter size, count, taper and configuration for every procedure performed. The needle dictates the footprint left behind in the skin so choosing the right needle is crucial not only to achieve the artistic result wanted, but again…to tattoo every procedure with efficiency.
Choosing the right needle directly impacts our work and our results. Teryn is one of the select few cosmetic tattoo artists who learned the dying art of needle making and for years every procedure she performed was done with a needle she made. Map It & Lock It: Brow Mapping Class
Does it take you two hours to design eyebrows on your client? Do your client’s eyebrows look like cousins instead of sisters? Once you get the brows drawn on are you afraid of wiping it off accidentally? Have you just been struggling to get the perfect design? If you answered any of those questions with a yes, then this is the perfect course for you!
In this course, Michon Martinez is going to guide you through different mapping techniques and her own style of mapping…all of which will lead you to amazing, quick brow designs. Not only will she teach you how to design brows…she is going to teach you how to lock in your design. This will help new artists and technicians that are struggling to get that perfect eyebrow shape and to keep it during the entire procedure!
Over the years, Michon has tested out a variety of mapping techniques and tools to really hone in her skill and find what works best for her. She will show you step by step several different mapping techniques with different tools. This course will be showing you how to use these tools individually, as well as how to combine techniques to find what works best for YOU!
This course will go over the seven different face shapes, different tools such as; the ruler, the caliper, and the string, how to lock in your mapping design with a special marking pencil and how to lock in the design while tattooing. With all of these tools, you will be able to figure out what helps you best, and which technique you like, to help broaden your artistic eye.
Michon’s course features one complete live video of each mapping technique, and several small videos to help demonstrate each tool. You will also be provided with a detailed handout to put this all to practice and help you save time on drawing during a procedure.
Machine & Movements
When I picked up my permanent makeup machine for the very first time, loaded the needle, turned it on and started tattooing an eyebrow…I knew right there and then this was exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. That was almost twenty-one years ago and during those twenty-one years I developed a tattoo machine obsession. My machine obsession may have started during my body tattoo apprenticeship when one day I walked into the shop and my brand-new coil machine was in pieces on my work station. I was told to put it back together again in perfect running order if I want to “get on skin” that day. It may have taken me a while to accomplish that task…but I did it.
Since then, I’ve used numerous types of machines from many different manufacturers and have never been able to settle on just one.
My obsession went beyond how the machine felt in my hand or the level of work I could produce with a machine…I wanted to know and completely understand all the mechanics, complexities and layers to the different machines.
If you are new to permanent makeup or body tattooing, or if you started out as a microblader or hand tool artist, crossing over to machine can be very intimidating. Machines are expensive and there are so many to choose from, so how do you know which machine will be a great machine for you?
In this course I will teach you everything you need to know about machines. I will provoke your thoughts on many different levels. Although the only thing I cannot do…is actually put a machine in your hand, this course is so in-depth, detailed and stimulating, I feel confident you will leave this course with a very good understanding of what you need and want in a machine.
What good is a machine in your hand if you do not know how to move that machine? I will teach you the six core machine movements used in all the PMU procedures; The Hair Stroke Movement, Circles, Whip Shading, Pendulum, Pointillism and Shoveling.
This course is loaded with written content, a downloadable handout, and video tutorials. This course will help develop you into the versatile and badass machine artist you want to be.
